On December 5th, 2011 the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will reach a special milestone in its history: 60 years of assisting migrants worldwide in an ever changing environment and political and social context. The IOM 60th Anniversary website aims to inform you on our specific activities and initiatives linked to our Anniversary year that is devoted to the central motto “IOM—Migration for the Benefit of All”.

“In a world in which more people are on the move than at any other time in recorded history, the International Organization for Migration continues —after more than 60 years—to assist migrants and help build dialogue among nations to ensure orderly and humane responses to the challenges and opportunities presented by human mobility in the 21st Century.”
